Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe.

1. Who We Are

vquint ("vquint", "we", "us", or "our") is a software development agency based in Udupi, Karnataka, India. We design and build mobile applications, web platforms, process automation, and AI solutions for businesses.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit our website or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have. For the purposes of applicable data protection law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, vquint is the "Data Fiduciary" (data controller) for the personal data described here.

2. Information We Collect

Information you give us. When you submit our contact form, we collect:

  • Your full name and work email address
  • Your phone number (optional)
  • The service you are interested in and your expected project timeline
  • The project details you write in your message
  • Any files you choose to upload (for example, briefs, specifications, or designs)

If you email or call us directly, we also receive the information you include in that communication.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically record basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested, and the date and time of your visit. This is used for security and to keep the website running reliably.

We also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website, such as which pages are viewed, how long visits last, how visitors arrived at the site, and their approximate location (city or country). See "Cookies and Analytics" below for details.

What we do not collect. We do not ask for sensitive information such as financial details, government identification numbers, or health information through this website. Please do not include such information in the contact form or in uploaded files.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and discuss your project requirements
  • Prepare proposals, estimates, and timelines
  • Communicate with you before, during, and after an engagement
  • Keep our website secure and prevent misuse or spam
  • Understand how our website is used so we can improve its content and performance
  • Meet our legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations

We process your information on the basis of your consent (which you give by submitting the form or contacting us), to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and where required to comply with the law. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.

4. Cookies and Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to measure traffic and understand how visitors interact with our website. Google Analytics uses cookies (small text files stored on your device), such as _ga and _ga_*, to distinguish visitors and sessions. These cookies typically last up to 2 years.

The information collected includes pages visited, time spent on the site, referring websites, device and browser type, and approximate location derived from your IP address. We use this information only in aggregate to improve our website. We do not use Google Analytics to identify you personally, and we do not use advertising cookies or sell this data.

Google processes this data in accordance with its own privacy policy. You can learn more at How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can opt out of Google Analytics on all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or you can block or delete cookies through your browser settings.

Our hosting provider may also use strictly necessary technical mechanisms required to deliver the website securely.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers. We use trusted third parties to operate our business, such as our email provider (Google Workspace / Gmail), which receives and stores contact form submissions; Google Analytics, which collects website usage data; and our website hosting provider. These providers process data on our behalf and only as needed to provide their services.
  • Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or a lawful request from a government authority, or to protect our rights, property, or safety.
  • Business transfers. If vquint is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

6. International Data Transfers

Some of our service providers may store or process data on servers located outside India, including in the United States and the European Union. Where this happens, we rely on providers that maintain appropriate safeguards and we ensure transfers comply with applicable Indian law.

7. Data Retention

We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to respond to you and pursue a potential engagement. If no engagement follows, we generally delete enquiry data, including uploaded files, within 24 months of our last communication.

If you become a client, we retain project-related communications and records for the duration of the engagement and for as long as required afterwards for legal, tax, and accounting purposes.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls on our email and file systems. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a personal data breach that affects you, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

9. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Request deletion of your personal data
  • Withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect processing already carried out)
  • Nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity
  • Raise a grievance with us, and if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India or your local data protection authority
